Today’s Lunch:  Homemade Chili with Beans, Baked Potato, Steamed Broccoli, Whole Wheat Roll, Fresh Fruit.

Baseball open gyms will run from 9:00-11:00 AM starting this Sunday the 21st in the gym.  Open gyms will continue each Sunday at this time until March 13th.  Baseball players in grades 7-12 are welcomed to attend.  Please e-mail Coach Sargent at mvubaseball@gmail.com or message our Facebook page at FriendsofMVUBaseball with questions.

Also, please register for a baseball clinic by emailing Coach Sargent at mvubaseball@gmail.com being held on March 26th for players age 9-13. The clinic is held at he MVU gym from 10:30 to 1:30. Camp instructors are the MVU Varsity Baseball coaches and players. Flyers are located in the HUB.

Spring sports signups are now open for both middle and high school athletes.  Please log on to mvuathletics.org and click “register”.  Any questions, please see Mr. Lumsden or Mrs. Larose in the high school office.   If you haven’t played a sport this school year, please check with the nurse to see if your physical is up to date.  All athletes are required to have a physical every 2 years.

Reminder to Driver Ed students that there is a guest speaker today in the Library during block 3/4 .  

The Library will be closed today from 9:15 - 11:15 for a Driver's Education speaker.

Leonard Parent will be in the Commons during all lunch periods today to hand out winter sports pictures. If you still owe money for your pictures, payment is due when you pick them up.   

MVU Crossroads & AfterHours Mud Season Flyers are available, deadline to register is Thursday, February 18th. Check out all our new happenings and sign up before break!  Mud Season Session starts Monday, March 7th.  Flyers available at front office, the HUB and with TSA's. National Honor Society is selling discounted lift tickets to Smuggs over February break.  Order forms are available in the middle and high school office, D7, and from any member of National Honor Society. Discounted tickets are $15 for a full day at Smuggs on any day from Monday Feb. 22 to Thursday Feb. 25. Order forms are due on Tuesday, February 16 and tickets need to be picked up on Thursday or Friday before school vacation.

Champlain Valley AHEC (CVAHEC) and The Franklin County Home Health Agency (FCHHA) regret to announce that the 2016 A Day in the Life opportunity for Franklin County students will be postponed until the spring of 2017.  There has been some restructuring of staff at FCHHA along with an increased demand for their services in the community.  The decision was made to prioritize the needs of both staff and patients.   Both agencies want to give students the best possible training and job shadowing activities.  The professionals who volunteer to help with students at FCHHA are focusing on learning enhanced professional skills and serving the community.  FCHHA reported that they are sorry to miss this year with the CVAHEC students who they found to be very mature, motivated and impressive.

Open auditions for the role of "Prince Eric" in the upcoming production of "The LIttle Mermaid" will be held Friday, February 12 starting at 4:00 in the Music Room.  Please be prepared to sing something (anything!) and to read some prepared lines.  If you have any questions about the role or the audition itself, please contact Adam Tougas at Adam.tougas@gmail.com or Danielle Turner at dturner@fnwsu.org
