B DAY
8th Grade Celebration Information:
Wednesday, June 14th, 2017
Ceremony 6:00 in the Gym
Dance 7:00-9:00 in Commons (for MVU 8th Grade Students Only)
· The program will last approximately 45 minutes in the gym, followed by a brief reception with cake and drinks provided. There is a dance from 7:00-9:00 in the commons area for MVU 8th grade students only.
· There are no tickets for this event. The 8th grade celebration is a very highly attended event at MVU. All families are encouraged to attend and the gym is always packed!
· Questions always come up about what is appropriate and expected for the students to wear. Keeping in mind, school dress codes still apply. The decision about what your student wears is totally up to you and the student. We encourage a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse for girls and nice pants and collared shirt for the boys. Formal dresses and suits are not necessary, but again up to each family. Please no flip-flops.
· Please have students arrive no later than 5:30 to begin lining up in the theater. We need to begin promptly at 6:00 to fit everything in on time.
· Students will practice with their teachers during the day on June 14th. Many of the student’s questions will be answered at that time. It is mandatory that all 8th graders be in school on Wednesday, June 14th in order to participate in the ceremony and dance that evening. Also students must be at the ceremony in order to participate in the dance.
Any questions, please give the Middle School Office a call @ 868-7311 x 194.
