Today in Sports:
  • JV & Varsity girls’ basketball teams will be travelling to South Burlington.  Bus leaves at 4:15.  JV plays at 6:00, varsity plays at 7:30.
  • Varsity boys’ ice hockey team will be travelling to Essex Skating Facility to play Mt. Mansfield.  Bus leaves at 4:15, game time is 6:15.
  • 8th grade girls and boys basketball teams will be hosting Enosburg.  Girls play at 5:00, boys play at 6:00.
Friday’s Schedule:
  • JV & varsity boys’ basketball team will be travelling to North Country.  Bus leaves at 2:45.  JV plays at 5:00, varsity plays at 6:30.

To all cast members of MVU's Musical, "Young Frankenstein"; please make sure to initial next to your name on the cast list if you are accepting the role you've been offered. The list is posted on the music room door.  There will be a mandatory, FULL CAST rehearsal on Tuesday, January 3rd from 3pm-6pm in the music room. Meet one another, go over expectations and read through the script together as a group!

Not sure what to do with all those returnable cans and bottles from the holidays? How about donating them to the Class of 2017 for their Substance Free Graduation Party?! The Substance Free Party Committee will be around the local towns to collect bottles on January 7, 2017.  However, if you have some you want to donate before that date, they can be dropped off at the Sunoco station in Swanton.  Just let them know you are donating them to the Substance Free Party and they will take care of the rest!  Thank you for your support!

Thursday 12/22 Crossroads/AfterHours is Canceled.  Please take your regular bus home.  Happy holidays!

Math League participants please stop by D12 and pick up your permission slips from Mrs. Hudak for our next meet. This meet is on Thursday, January 5th in Vergennes, the week after the holiday break.

The annual MVU alumni basketball game will take place on Monday, December 26th at the Missisquoi Valley UHS gym.  The Women's game will be at 5:30pm and the Men's game at 6:30pm.  There is a fee of $20 for players that includes a T-Shirt and there is no charge for spectators.  This event is open to MVU alumni who would like to reconnect with their classmates on the basketball court in an “odd vs even” graduating year format.  To spice up the game there will be PA announcers, time out and warm up music, and an MVU dance team performance.  Along with your new, old or vintage basketball shoes, players should recruit as many classmates as they can to come out and watch or play.  It is a “just for fun” annual holiday event not to miss.  The MVU boosters will be taking orders for spirit wear and the food booth will be open for business.  All proceeds collected are in support of the MVU Girls basketball program fundraising efforts.

Hunters Safety, Dry Ice Experiments, Yu-Gi-oh, and more!!
HOMEWORK CLUB/ZONE (NO BUSING OR SNACK) will be available JANUARY 3-13.

Registration forms for the Smugglers’ Notch 2017 Season Ski and Ride with Skill Program are available in the HUB. The program is for grades 4 through 12 and will run for 10 weeks beginning January 7, 2017.

  • Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey team will be hosting the Annual Holiday Tournament this weekend.  Tonight’s games are as follows:  NCCS vs Lowell at 6:00 pm, MVU vs St. J at 8:00 pm.  Bring a non-perishable item and you will get a $1.00 off the entrance fee.  
  • Girls’ JV & Varsity basketball teams will be scrimmaging Richford tonight at MVU.  JV plays at 6:00, varsity plays at 7:30.
