B Day

The Library will be closed today from 9:40 - 1:06.

Today in Sports:

• Varsity girls’ ice hockey team will be travelling to Barwood Arena to play Hartford.  Team is dismissed at 1:30, bus leaves at 1:45.  Game time is 4:45.
• JV & varsity girls’ basketball teams will be travelling to Mt. Mansfield.  Bus leaves at 3:30.  JV plays at 5:30, varsity plays at 7:00.
• Varsity boys’ ice hockey team will be hosting North Country.  Game time is 7:00.

Attention all faculty, staff and high school students:  Intramural volleyball signups are in the high school office.  Games will be played after school from March 7th through March 14th from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  Tournament will be on March 14th.  Last day to signup is Wednesday, February 21st at 12:00 pm.  Teams will be posted on Friday, February 23rd.  Eligibility will be based on 2nd quarter grades.

State STEM fair students will meet today during TSA in the media center.  

MVU Musical is holding an Open Mic/Stage on Saturday, February 17th at 6:30pm. This is an all ages, family friendly show that is open to anyone to participate in as singers, dancers, bands, comedians, etc.   If you are interested in performing on stage please contact Kathleen Hoffman at kathleenhoffman@fnwsu.org or Tammy Fortin at tfortin@fnwsu.org before Friday, February 16th.

Attention 10th Grade Students: MEDQUEST 2018 - Health Careers Exploration summer program at Northern Vermont University, Johnson Campus, formerly Johnson State College.   This 6-day residential program is for 10th-grade students.  Applications are available at www.nvtahec.org.  The application deadline is Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Please stop by guidance if you have any questions.

Spring Sports registration is open.  Please register at mvuathletics.org if you would like to participate in Track and Field,  Baseball, Softball and MS Golf.  If you would like to be a manager for a team, you also must sign up.  Make sure your physical is up to date, within the past 2 years and you are academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter grades).

Baseball open gyms will begin Sunday, February 18th from 10-11:30 am in the gym.  Open gyms will continue at the same time on Sunday Feb. 25th, March 4th, and March 11th.  All players in grades 7-12 are welcomed to attend regardless of ability or experience.  Please contact Coach Sargent with any questions or concerns by e-mailing him at, MVUBaseball@gmail.com or by messaging Friends of MVU Baseball on Facebook.

ASVAB Test, Wednesday, March 14^th at 8:30 am in the MVU Library.  It's not just a test for entrance into the military.  It's a test designed to help you explore different career areas. If interested or have questions please see your guidance counselor.
