The Library will be closed today during period 4 (11:06 am - 1:06 pm) for a Driver Ed. presentation.

Today in Sports:

• JV & varsity girls’ basketball teams will be travelling to North Country.  Teams are dismissed at 2:30, bus leaves at 2:45.  JV plays at 5:00, varsity plays at 6:30.

Model UN and Debate will meet this Thursday from 3-4 in D8 to discuss the upcoming North Country Model UN conference field trip.  Any interested students are welcome.  

Reminder for Driver Ed students of their Guest Speaker today block 4A in the Library.

Congratulations to all our Mardi Gras Cake Contest Winners from last week.  Our 2018 MVU French 3 Mardi Gras Cake Boss winners are Bailey Beauregard, Samantha Fagga, Sydney Benjamin, Julia Horton, Danielle Cummings, Casey Forey, Gabby Boutin, Tyler Robinson, Alexis Spaulding, and Justus Boudreau.  Many thanks to all our judges.

There will be an informational meeting for all baseball players in grades 9-12 on Friday, March 9th at 3:15 in Commons.  If you cannot make this meeting please contact Coach Sargent before March 9th by emailing him at mvubaseball@gmail.com or messaging the Friends of MVU Baseball facebook page.  Open gyms will continue this Sunday from 10-11:30 in the gym and will continue on March 4th and 11th.  All baseball players in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend regardless of experience or ability level.

Leonard Parent will be here to handout sports pictures in Thursday, Febrauary 20th during all lunch periods.  If you owe any money, please bring it in at this time.

On Friday March 9th at 10:00 SSGT Martinson from the US Marine Corp. will be here to provide information about the NROTC program.

AP Students - Reminder that the deadline for handing in your AP form and deposit if you're taking more than one exam, is Wednesday, February 21.  Please see Mrs. Hickman if you have any questions.

The UVM Department of Mathematics and Statistics will be holding it's Sixty-First Annual High School Prize Examination in Mathematics on March 14th from 8:30am-10:30am in the library.  Any 7-12 graders interested in participating see Mr. MacCormick in E5 to sign up.

The Mud Season flyer for Crossroads  & AfterHours is now available. Please return completed forms and surveys to the Main Office or HUB by Thursday, February 22nd.

Attention all faculty, staff and high school students:  Intramural volleyball signups are in the high school office.  Games will be played after school from March 7th through March 14th from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  Tournament will be on March 14th.  Last day to signup is Wednesday, February 21st at 12:00 pm.  Teams will be posted on Friday, February 23rd.  Eligibility will be based on 2nd quarter grades.

Attention 10th Grade Students: MEDQUEST 2018 - Health Careers Exploration summer program at Northern Vermont University, Johnson Campus, formerly Johnson State College.  This 6-day residential program is for 10th-grade students.  Applications are available at www.nvtahec.org.  The application deadline is Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Please stop by guidance if you have any questions.

Spring Sports registration is open.  Please register at mvuathletics.org if you would like to participate in Track and Field,  Baseball, Softball and MS Golf.  If you would like to be a manager for a team, you also must sign up.  Make sure your physical is up to date, within the past 2 years and you are academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter grades).

ASVAB Test, Tuesday, March 20th at 8:30 am in the MVU Library.  It's not just a test for entrance into the military.  It's a test designed to help you explore different career areas. If interested or have questions please see your guidance counselor.
