B Day
Today in Sports:
- Varsity boys’ basketball teams
will be hosting Vergennes. Junior Varsity plays at 5:30; Varsity plays at
7:00.
This weekend in Sports:
- Dance Team travels to Vergennes
for States. Competition begins at 12:00 pm.
- Cheer Team travels to Vergennes
for States. Competition begins at 7:00 pm.
- Boys’ Ice Hockey Team travels
to Leddy Park Arena. Bus departs at 6:45 pm. Game vs. Colchester is at
8:30 pm.
- Girls’ Varsity Basketball Teams
will be hosting Winooski. Junior Varsity plays at 12:00; Varsity plays at
1:30 pm.
- Girls’ Ice Hockey Team will be hosting South Burlington. Game time is at 7:00 pm. (Senior Game).
The UVM Depeartment of
Mathematics and Statistics will be holding it's Sixty-First Annual High School
Prize Examination in Mathematics on March 14th from 8:30am-10:30am in the
library. Any 7-12 graders interested in participating see Mr. MacCormick
in E5 to sign up.
The
Mud Season flyer for Crossroads & AfterHours is now available. Please
return completed forms and surveys to the Main Office or HUB by Thursday, February 22nd.
Baseball open gym will
begin this Sunday, February 18th from 10-11:30 am in the gym. Open gyms
will continue at the same time on Sunday Feb. 25th, March 4th, and March 11th.
All players in grades 7-12 are welcomed to attend regardless of ability
or experience. Please contact Coach Sargent with any questions or

Attention all faculty, staff and high school
students: Intramural volleyball signups are in the high school office.
Games will be played after school from March 7th through March 14th from
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Tournament will be on March 14th. Last day to
signup is Wednesday, February 21st at 12:00 pm. Teams will be posted on
Friday, February 23rd. Eligibility will be based on 2nd quarter grades.
MVU Musical is holding
an Open Mic/Stage this Saturday, February 17th at 6:30pm. This is an all
ages, family friendly show that is open to anyone to participate in as singers,
dancers, bands, comedians, etc. If you are interested in performing
on stage please contact Kathleen Hoffman at kathleenhoffman@fnwsu.org or Tammy Fortin
at tfortin@fnwsu.org before Friday, Februray 16th.
Attention 10th Grade Students: MEDQUEST 2018 -
Health Careers Exploration summer program at Northern Vermont University,
Johnson Campus, formerly Johnson State College. This 6-day
residential program is for 10th-grade students. Applications are
available at www.nvtahec.org. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Please stop by guidance if you have any questions.
Spring Sports registration is open. Please
register at mvuathletics.org if you would like to participate in Track and Field,
Baseball, Softball and MS Golf. If you would like to be a manager
for a team, you also must sign up. Make sure your physical is up to date,
within the past 2 years and you are academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter
grades).
ASVAB Test, Wednesday, March 14th at 8:30 am in the MVU
Library. It's not just a test for entrance into the military. It's
a test designed to help you explore different career areas. If interested or
have questions please see your guidance counselor.
