B Day
Today in Sports:
- 7th grade boys’ & girls’ soccer teams will be travelling to Vergennes. Teams are dismissed at 2:15, bus leaves at 2:30 for a 4:30 game time.
- Varsity girls’ golf team will be travelling to St. Johnsbury. Team is dismissed at 12:00 and will leave at 12:15. Match begins at 3:00.
- JV & varsity field hockey teams will be hosting Stowe. Varsity plays at 4:00, JV plays at 5:15.
School pictures are this week Tuesday, September 26th - Friday, September 28th.
Swanton Teen Center is open most days after school. Come on down for games, fun, and a place to chill with friends. We're in the building behind what used to be the "Dam Store." If the light over the yellow door is on, we're there! Or, you can call 868-9880.
Last year’s yearbooks are in, and anyone that ordered one can pick it up during their lunch period in Mrs. Hakey's office.
PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test). The PSAT exam will be administered at MVU on Saturday, October 14 to sophomores and juniors. The College Board automatically screens juniors for the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. To sign up, students should stop by the guidance office and see Mrs. Greenia. The cost is $16. The exam starts promptly at 8:00 AM and students need to be at MVU by 7:45 AM.
College Fair - Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Students in grades 10 – 12 are invited to attend the College Fair at the University of Vermont’s Patrick Gymnasium. We will leave MVU at 8:15 AM and return by 12:00 PM. Students should stop by the guidance office and pick up a permission form at the start of school. The college fair is also open to parents and students on Tuesday, September 19 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
The 9th Annual MVU-BFA Powder Puff benefit football game will take place on Saturday, September 23rd at the Collins-Perley Sports Complex beginning at 7:00 pm. Come watch the senior girls from our two schools compete on the gridiron to support The Bashaw Trauma Center at Northwest Medical Center. Remember there's nothing Powder Puff about this Football game!
