B Day


Today in Sports:
  • 8th grade girls’ & boys’ soccer teams will be travelling to Colchester.  Teams are dismissed at 2:15, bus leaves at 2:30.  Game time is 4:00.
  • Middle school field hockey team will be travelling to Colchester.  Teams are dismissed at 2:15, bus leaves at 2:30.  Game time is 4:00.
  • JV & Varsity field hockey teams will be hosting Spaulding.  Varsity game is at 4:00, JV game is 5:15.
  • JV & Varsity girls’ soccer teams will be hosting Milton.  Game time is 4:30.
Weekend in Sports:
  • The 9th Annual MVU-BFA Powder Puff benefit football game will take place this Saturday night at the Collins-Perley Sports Complex beginning at 7:00 pm.  Come watch the senior girls from our two schools compete on the gridiron to support The Bashaw Trauma Center at Northwest Medical Center.  Remember there's nothing Powder Puff about this Football game!  Cost is $4.00 for adults, $2.00 for students & children.  
  • JV & Varsity boys’ soccer teams will be travelling to Vergennes.  Bus leaves at 10:30. Game time is 1:00.
  • Varsity football team will be hosting Spaulding.  Game time is 1:00.

Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing in a competitive basketball league with the best athletes in the state: Mini-metro is one of the best leagues for playing against some of the best athletes in VT. Mr. Coppenrath is hosting a SECOND evaluation/tryout this Sunday the 24th of September at MVU in the gym from 4-5pm.  Coaches from the community will be there to help run the evaluation/tryout. We would love to see all 7th and 8th grade girls who have played organized basketball this Sunday at 4 pm. Any questions, please see Mr. Coppenrath in D6.

School pictures are scheduled for next week.  Tuesday, September 26th - Thursday, September 28th.  Schedule is posted on the high school bulletin board.

There is need for student workers at Dresser Poultry Farm every weekend from 4:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Please contact Mrs. Hartman for details.

Last year’s yearbooks are in, and anyone that ordered one can pick it up during their lunch period in Mrs. Hakey's office.



PSAT  (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test). The PSAT exam will be administered at MVU on Saturday, October 14 to sophomores and juniors.  The College Board automatically screens juniors for the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.   To sign up, students should stop by the guidance office and see Mrs. Greenia.  The cost is $16. The exam starts promptly at 8:00 AM and students need to be at MVU by 7:45 AM.
