A - DAY
The Library will be closed on Thursday from 9:30 - 12:45 (3/4 & 5/6) and all day on Friday
All students who want to play a winter sport, please sign up on line at mvuathletics.org. Don’t forget to check with the school nurse to make sure your physical is up to date.
The 7th grade girls soccer team and the 8th grade boys soccer team play at home today vs. Winooski. Game times are at 4:00.
The Swanton Public Library is seeking donations of new and gently used Halloween Costumes to be given away to children and teens at our Casper's Attic Costume Emporium. Costumes will be available during regular library hours beginning Saturday, October 15th.
There will be a representative from SUNY Cobleskill here TODAY, Thursday, October 13th at 8:30. If you are interested in getting some information about SUNY Cobleskill , please stop by the guidance office and get a pass to be allowed out of class for this meeting.

This is the last call for the PSATs to be administered here at MVU. If you have not handed in your money ($15) please do so ASAP.
Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for next Thursday, October 20th and Friday, October 21st. Parents of high school students can log into “Pick A Time” to schedule meetings (directions can be found on our website). Parents of middle school students can schedule with a guidance counselor.
NJHS Horror Movie Night is on October 28th at 4:30 before the Haunted Forest. Please turn in permission slips to your prime group teacher.
There is a Middle School Dance tomorrow, Friday, October 14th. The is cost is $6.00 or $5.00 if you bring a non-perishable food item which Middle School Student Council will donate to a local food shelf. All Middle School dances are 7:00 - 9:00pm. Teachers, please discuss the dance rules with students.
PINK HAIR DARE!! After three days of voting:
1st place - Mrs. Kittell
2nd place - Ms. Bray
3rd place - Mr. Sheeler
Held Monday, October 10th - Friday, October 14th during 7th and 8th grade lunches.
Vote for the teacher whose hair you want to see dyed by placing cash and coins into that teacher’s jar. At the end of the week, the teacher with the most money will have their hair dyed pink and will be revealed on Monday, October 17th in the theater before dismissal to homerooms. Donations will benefit Franklin County Animal Rescue.
This fundraiser is organized by the National Junior Honor Society.
Voice of Democracy Contest is open to all students grades 9-12. Students should check in with their social studies or English teacher for a copy of the brochure with rules for the competition. The deadline is Nov 1, 2016.
