B Day
Today in Sports:
- Varsity boys’ ice hockey team
will be hosting Mt. Mansfield. Team is dismissed at 2:15. Game time
is 4:00.
MVU STEM Fair is taking
place on Thursday, January 18th in the Commons from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Everyone is invited to see all the great projects. There will be
entertainment and refreshments.
Any 9th or 10th grade
student who is interested in helping to plan this year’s Semi Formal Dance is
asked to meet in the Student Council room today at 2:30 pm.
Any 11th or 12th grade
student wanting to help plan the Mr. Thunderbird Show is asked to meet in the
Student Council room today at 2:45 pm.
To all students who are
participating in the Thursday evening’s STEM Fair, please plan to arrive at MVU
at 4:45pm to be ready for judging at 5 pm. It should conclude by 8pm and
there will be entertainment in the Theater while the scoring is being finalized
for the various awards. Dress appropriately and have fun at this once a
year event ! There will be some light refreshments provided.
If you are interested in
attending a panel on any of the following career fields: Health Care,
Manufacturing/Engineering, Trades (Including Renewable Energy, or Human
Services/Education at CCV the morning of February 7th, please see Mrs. Hartman
and sign up by this Friday, January 19th.
Library will be closed for the rest of this
week.
Students in Credit Recovery can access A21 by
going through A30.
Students using the Maker Space classroom can
access it by going through A41.
Crossroads & AfterHours have decided to
cancel the Pie Breakfast and Clothing Swap fundraiser due to the crisis in our
community. The clothing will be donated to families in need. Slices of pie,
along with bowls of soup will be sold at the AfterHours sponsored MVU STEM
Fair. We wish the families and friends in our community luck and much support
while they push forward through this hard time.
Any students interested in taking the St. Albans
Rotary bus on Saturdays this year will need to visit the St. Albans Rotary Club
website and pre-register online by Thursday at noon of each week. Seasons
passes are available.
Students participating in winter activities
(Sports, Musical, Pep Band) are reminded that the end of Quarter 2/Semester 1
will be on Monday, January 22nd. Be certain to check with your teachers
regarding any missing or incomplete work.
The MVU Literary Magazine is open for grades
9-12 literary and art submissions. The January deadline to submit work is
the 17th. You can submit your work through the google submission form found on
the English and Art pages on the school website, or ask your English or Art
teacher for guidance.
