A Day
Attention Class of 2022:
Parents and Students of the Current 8th Grade Class are invited to attend the
Annual 9th Grade Orientation. Orientation Night is held on Thursday, January
11th at 6:30-8:00 pm in the Trahan Theatre.
- Varsity indoor track &
field team will be travelling to UVM. Team is dismissed at 12:15, bus
leaves at 12:30. Meet starts at 1:30.
The Northwest Technical
Center has a priority application date of January 16th - which is next Tuesday!
Applications can be found in the Guidance Office. Please submit
your completed application to your school counselor.
Any students interested
in taking the St. Albans Rotary bus on Saturdays this year will need to visit
the St. Albans Rotary Club website and pre-register online by Thursday at noon
of each week. Seasons passes are available.
The Crossroads & AfterHours Pie Breakfast
and Clothing Swap is Saturday, January 20th at the Swanton Municipal Building.
If you would like to make a donation of clothes or pies, please contact either
Heather Moore or Ashley Bowen. Everyone who makes a donation will be entered
for the chance to win a $10 gift card to the Swanton House of Pizza.
The AfterHours program is looking for student
volunteers to help at the Pie Breakfast and Clothing Swap on January 20th.

Students participating in winter activities
(Sports, Musical, Pep Band) are reminded that the end of Quarter 2/Semester 1
will be on Monday, January 22nd. Be certain to check with your teachers
regarding any missing or incomplete work.
MVU's Debate Club will have an open debate this
Thursday 1/11 from 3-4 in D8. Ahead of the MLK holiday, the debate topic
will be, "Who was the best leader in history?" Anyone interested in a
fun debate, or joining MVU's Debate or Model UN team is welcome to join.

The Winter Sesson of Crossroads/Afterhours
begins today, January 8th.This Session runs for 7 weeks ending on Thursday,
February 22nd.
The MVU Literary Magazine is open for grades
9-12 literary and art submissions. The January deadline to submit work is
the 17th. You can submit your work through the google submission form found on
the English and Art pages on the school website, or ask your English or Art
teacher for guidance.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are
interested in attending a panel on any of the following career fields: Health
Care, Manufacturing/Engineering, Trades (Including Renewable Energy, or Human
Services/Education at CCV the morning of February 7, please see Mrs. Hartman
and sign up by January 15.
