A-DAY


The middle school has launched their annual fall fundraiser selling coupon books. The profit from each book sold goes directly to that students team to help fund activities and the end of the year field trip. You may purchase the books directly from 7th and 8th grade students or online.

The 7th & 8th grade girls soccer teams travel to Milton today. Players are dismissed at 2:15. Bus departs at 2:30. 7th grade game is at 4:00. 8th grade game is at 5:00.

There will a representative from Hofstra University, located on Long Island NY, here Monday September 12th @ 2:00 In the middle school conference room. Please be sure to get your pass signed by Mrs Greenia in the guidance office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: if you have registered your vehicle, please stop by Mrs. Larose’s office to pick up your parking permit.  If you have not registered it yet, please pick up a form and return it to her no later than tomorrow, Friday, September 9th.  Students are asked to begin parking in your assigned spots on Monday.  

We are still missing quite a few senior contracts.  Please hand them in to Mrs. Larose as soon as possible.

There will be a meeting for all current Upward Bound students on Friday, September 9th, during TSA in the library.  Please check into TSA first.

PSAT's will be held at MVU on Saturday, October 15th this year.  If you are interested in taking the PSAT's , please stop by the guidance office to sign-up.

Crossroads and AfterHours registrations forms due TODAY.  Get your forms in early to guarantee a spot!

There will be a sophomore skit meeting tonight, Thursday, September 8th in Mr. Fortin’s room (J18) at 7:30 am.  All members of the Class of 2019 are welcome!

For girls in grades 7-12 interested in playing basketball this winter - there will be two open gym sessions each week during the fall.  
This week will be today 9/8 from 3-5pm.
Next week will be Thursday 9/15 from 3-4:30pm (this is a change).  Due to HS open house set-up, there will be no open gym on tuesday 9/13.

All students are reminded that food and drinks from outside vendors are not permitted once the school day begins.  Also, please remember to check in at the front desk with Mrs. McWilliams when leaving and returning from an early dismissal.

2016 College Fair - St. Michael's College   Thursday, September 22, 2016 - The bus will leave MVU at 8:30 and we will return at noon.
Juniors and Seniors interested in going to the college fair should sign up in the guidance office and pick up a permission form.  The deadline for returning permission forms is Tuesday, September 20th.

As you may have heard, there are rumors that the Tower of Pisa is not safe and may be torn down, even after extensive renovations to help strenghthen and stabilize it.  Don't miss your chance to see Pisa first-hand, and maybe for the last time!  It is not too late to enroll for " Italy 2017"; deadline is September 23, 2017.  Brochures are on the table in the lobby, Middle School HUB, Ms Hoffmann (C-2), or Mrs Machia (A-37).  Next meeting is Tuesday, September 6th, 7:00pm in the Highgate Elementary School Library.

The 8th Annual MVU-BFA Powder Puff benefit football game will take place on Saturday, September 17th at the Collins-Perley Sports Complex beginning at 7:00 pm.  Come watch the senior girls from our two schools compete on the gridiron to support The Bashaw Trauma Center at Northwest Medical Center.  Remember there's nothing Powder Puff about this Football game!
