A-DAY

Tomorrow starts high school spirit week! A fantastic week long celebration of school spirit and celebration of our fall athletics.
Beginning Tuesday we will have themed dress up days. Every high school student who participates in these dress up days will count as one point for their class, the class with the most participants, gets the most points.
The class with the most points at the end of then day Friday will be the Winner of Spirit Week. This will be announced at the high school outdoor dance being held at 7:00 Friday, $1.00 of every entry fee ($5.00) will be deposited into the winning grades class account.
Spirit Week Themes:
Tues-Plaid/Flannel Day
Wed-America Day - Participants need to wear at least 2 of the 3 flag colors to count in class tally.
Thursday - Decades Day - 9th - 90s, 10th-80s, 11th-70s, 12th-60s.
Friday-School Spirit Day

The middle school has launched their annual fall fundraiser selling coupon books. The profit from each book sold goes directly to that students team to help fund activities and the end of the year field trip. You may purchase the books directly from 7th and 8th grade students or online.

7th grade girls and boys soccer teams travel to St. Albans City today for a 4:00 game. Dismissal is at 2:30. Bus departs at 2:45.

The 8th grade girls and boys soccer teams have a 4:00 home game vs. Enosburgh today.

For girls in grades 7-12 interested in playing basketball this winter - there will an open gym session  on Thursday 9/15 from 3-4:30pm (this is a change).  Due to HS open house set-up, there will be no open gym on Tuesday 9/13.

All students are reminded that food and drinks from outside vendors are not permitted once the school day begins.  Also, please remember to check in at the front desk with Mrs. McWilliams when leaving and returning from an early dismissal.

2016 College Fair - St. Michael's College   Thursday, September 22, 2016 - The bus will leave MVU at 8:30 and we will return at noon.
Juniors and Seniors interested in going to the college fair should sign up in the guidance office and pick up a permission form.  The deadline for returning permission forms is Tuesday, September 20th.

As you may have heard, there are rumors that the Tower of Pisa is not safe and may be torn down, even after extensive renovations to help strenghthen and stabilize it.  Don't miss your chance to see Pisa first-hand, and maybe for the last time!  It is not too late to enroll for " Italy 2017"; deadline is September 23, 2017.  Brochures are on the table in the lobby, Middle School HUB, Ms Hoffmann (C-2), or Mrs Machia (A-37).  

The 8th Annual MVU-BFA Powder Puff benefit football game will take place on Saturday, September 17th at the Collins-Perley Sports Complex beginning at 7:00 pm.  Come watch the senior girls from our two schools compete on the gridiron to support The Bashaw Trauma Center at Northwest Medical Center.  Remember there's nothing Powder Puff about this Football game!

PSAT's will be held at MVU on Saturday, October 15th this year.  If you are interested in taking the PSAT's , please stop by the guidance office to sign-up.

There will be a freshman class skit meeting on Tuesday, September 13th at 7:30 am in room D6 (Jessica Price's Room) to all who are interested in participating in skit night.
