A Day
Today in Sports:
- High School Sports Awards Night is tonight, Thursday,
March 8th at 6:00 pm in the Commons.
- Spring Sports registration is open. Please
register at mvuathletics.org
if you would like to participate in Track and Field, Baseball,
Softball and MS Golf. If you would
like to be a manager for a team, you also must sign up. Make sure
your physical is up to date, within the past 2 years and you are
academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter grades).
Students participating
in the McClure STEM Pathways Program have a mandatory training this afternoon
from 2:45-5 pm in the Maker's Space. Please report directly there for
attendance.
Students that received a letter about the
National Honor Society but were unable to attend the meeting please see
Mr. Napolitano or Mr. Gildemeister ASAP to get the details on how to apply.
The Library will be closed on Thursday and
Friday from 8:00 - 9:15, and again from 12:45 until the end of the day.
PLEASE HAND IN ANY CROSSROADS FORMS THIS
MORNING. Crossroads Mud Season Session begins Monday, March 12th.
There will be an informational meeting for all
baseball players in grades 9-12 on Friday, March 9th at 3:15 in Commons.
If you cannot make this meeting please contact Coach Sargent before March
9th by emailing him at mvubaseball@gmail.com or messaging the Friends of MVU
Baseball facebook page. Open gyms will continue this Sunday from 10-11:30
in the gym and will continue on March 4th and 11th. All baseball players in grades 7-12 are
encouraged to attend regardless of experience or ability level.
On Friday March 9th at 10:00
SSGT Martinson from the US Marine Corp. will be here to
provide information about the NROTC program.
The UVM Department of Mathematics and Statistics
will be holding it's Sixty-First Annual High School Prize Examination in
Mathematics on March 14th from 8:30am-10:30am in the library. Any 7-12
graders interested in participating see Mr. MacCormick in E5 to sign up.
ASVAB Test, Tuesday, March 20th at 8:30 am in
the MVU Library. It's not just a test for entrance into the
military. It's a test designed to help
you explore different career areas. If interested or have questions please see
your guidance counselor.
