B Day

The presentation originally scheduled for today by  SSGT Martinson of the US Marine Corp about the NROTC program as been rescheduled to Friday, March 23rd at 10:00.

There will be a football meeting in the commons on Monday, March 12th at 2:45 to 3:15. All high school students interested in playing next season are asked to attend.

Congratulations to the MVU’s Girls’ Ice Hockey team for their win against South Burlington. They will be playing in the Championship game on Monday, March 12th at 6:00 pm at UVM Gutterson Arena.  Tickets will be on sale in the high school office today from 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and Monday morning from 8:00 am to noon. Tickets will NOT be sold at UVM (either in person or over the phone) until one hour before the game. Tickets are also available online at www.uvmathletics.com.   Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students/seniors. If paying by check, please make it out to UVM. We cannot accept checks made out to the VPA or MVU.


There will be a spectator bus going to the girls' ice hockey championship game on Monday, March 12th.  The bus will leave MVU at 4:15 pm.  There is no cost to ride the bus but if you go down on the bus, you must return on the bus.  The signup sheet is in the high school office.  Good luck Lady T-Birds!

The 2018 Franklin Regional Career & Job Expo will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Collins-Perley Sports & Fitness Center in St. Albans, VT.  The bus will leave MVU at 8:30 AM and return at 11:00 AM.  If you're interested in attending, please see Mrs. Greenia in the guidance office to pick up a permission form.

Spring Sports registration is open.  Please register at mvuathletics.org if you would like to participate in Track and Field,  Baseball, Softball and MS Golf.  If you would like to be a manager for a team, you also must sign up.  Make sure your physical is up to date, within the past 2 years and you are academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter grades).

Students that received a letter about the National Honor Society  but were unable to attend the meeting please see Mr. Napolitano or Mr. Gildemeister ASAP to get the details on how to apply.

The Library will be closed today from 8:00 - 9:15, and again from 12:45 until the end of the day.

There will be an informational meeting for all baseball players in grades 9-12 on Friday, March 9th at 3:15 in Commons.  If you cannot make this meeting please contact Coach Sargent before March 9th by emailing him at mvubaseball@gmail.com or messaging the Friends of MVU Baseball facebook page.  Open gyms will continue this Sunday from 10-11:30 in the gym and will continue on March 4th and 11th.  All baseball players in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend regardless of experience or ability level.

The UVM Department of Mathematics and Statistics will be holding it's Sixty-First Annual High School Prize Examination in Mathematics on March 14th from 8:30am-10:30am in the library.  Any 7-12 graders interested in participating see Mr. MacCormick in E5 to sign up.

ASVAB Test, Tuesday, March 20th at 8:30 am in the MVU Library.  It's not just a test for entrance into the military.  It's a test designed to help you explore different career areas. If interested or have questions please see your guidance counselor.
