B DAY
Today in Sports:
JV & varsity girls’ basketball teams will be travelling to Enosburg. Bus leaves at 4:15. JV plays at 5:30, varsity plays at 7:00.
7th grade girls, 7th & 8th grade boys are hosting Harwood. 7th grade girls play at 5:00, 7th grade boys play at 6:00, 8th grade boys play at 7:00.
This Weekend in Sports:

Indoor Track & Field team will be competing at UVM. Bus leaves at 9:00, meet starts at 1:00.
Dance team will be travelling to Colchester for a competition. Bus leaves at 9:00, competition begins at 1:00.
Varsity boys’ ice hockey team will be travelling to Harwood. Bus leaves at 4:30, game time is 7:00.
Varsity girls’ ice hockey team will be hosting U-32. Game time is 7:00.
There is an employment opportunity for a student interested in working at the 1906 House primarily in housekeeping. This is steady part time work and is located in Enosburg. There may also be opportunities to wait table
and office positions. Please see Mrs. Hartman if interested.
To all students - There is a new feature in the Career Center in the library - the Career Closet. There are clothes available to anyone who would like to come and browse and bags available to take what you need for opportunities such as interviews, career fairs, etc. Feel free to go alone and use the dividers for privacy.
Attention High School Students: This year’s Semi Formal will be held on Saturday, February 4th at the St. Albans American Legion from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. If you are bringing a guest who is not an MVU student, you must fill out a “guest contract” and return it to Mrs. Larose no later than Monday, January 30th. The contracts can be picked up in Mrs. Larose’s office. Tickets will go on sale within the next week.
Winter session of Crossroads/AfterHours starts on Tuesday, January 17th. Please turn in registration forms if you have not yet had the opportunity. THERE IS NO BUSING OR SNACK UNTIL THE REGULAR SESSION STARTS ON THE 17TH.
There will a bottle drive this Saturday, January 7th for the class of 2017 substance free party. Please save your bottles. Bottles will be picked up during the drive or you can drop them off anytime at the Swanton Sunoco. Please inform them it is for the class of 2017. Also, there is a planning meeting January 5th at 6pm in the MVU library for anyone that wants to join the substance free party committee.
University of Vermont Children’s Hospital Fundraiser Marvel Studios V. DC Comics January 3rd- January 31st. Vote for your favorite superhero!! - (Donate money into their container during lunch periods). A mural of the superhero with the largest donation total will be painted on a school wall! (Along with their company logo and The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital logo). All proceeds will be donated to The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. Totals for all superheros will be recorded weekly and displayed in commons. THE WINNER AND FINAL TOTALS WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY FEBRUARY 10TH. If you would like to donate, but cannot during lunch periods, OR if you have any questions regarding the fundraiser please contact Mr. Dennis Hill (Principal) or Megan Czuchrey (Sophomore). Thank you for donating!
Registration forms for the Smugglers’ Notch 2017 Season Ski and Ride with Skill Program are available in the HUB and the front lobby. The program is for grades 4 through 12 and will run for 10 weeks beginning January 7, 2017.
