A-DAY

Need a night away from cooking dinner.......come on down to Applebee's in South Burlington on Thursday, November 17 from 4PM to 9PM for dinner and help support the Class of 2017 Substance Free Party!  A portion of all bills will help support the class.  Flyers can be picked up by the front office.

Picture Retakes will take place on Thursday, November 17th from 9:00 - 11:00 in the theater.  There will be a $5.00 retake fee and you must return your original photos.  The sign-up for retakes is at the front desk or the HUB.

To all students in all grades, 7-12:  Please help us start a student newspaper at MVU!  Do you like to write, draw, take photos, or create artwork?  Do you want to learn about journalism and help put together a real publication?  Do you want to share your experiences and opinions and get your voice heard?  Do you want students to have a greater voice at MVU?  Please join us for an organizational meeting right after school on Tuesday Nov. 15 in D13.  If you are interested but cannot attend, please see Ms. Douglass in room E12 during the school day or Mrs. Moore in Commons after school.

Any student in grades 10, 11 or 12 who are interested in applying to the MVU National Honor Society should attend the informational meeting on Thursday, November 17th in room D7 at 2:45.  Please see Mr. Napolitano or Mr. Gildemeister if you have any questions.

Attention Crossroads/AfterHours students.  The current session is coming to a close on Thursday Nov 17th.  The NEW session is beginning after thanksgiving break on Nov 28th, so get your registration forms in ASAP to guarantee a spot in your first choice class.  With any questions please contact Ashley Bowen. abowen@fnwsu.org or ext 156. The MVU cheerleaders will be taking DVD orders for this years skit during both performances. $15.00 (single class + Awards) $25.00 (all classes + awards). Please make checks payable to MVU Cheerleading. DVDs will be ready no earlier then December 19th. Email Ms DiDio with questions.

There will be a mandatory meeting for girls basketball players in grades 9-12 on Tuesday 11/15 from 2:45pm to approximately 3:45 in room A39.  Following the meeting all registered girls are invited to get on the bus to attend a St. Michael’s Women’s Team practice from 5-7pm.  Only girls that are properly registered on the MVU Athletics website are eligible to attend.  Bag lunch is provided.

The Elks National Hoop-shoot Contest is holding preliminary contests to qualify for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Middle school students who are age eligible should participate in the town they live. Swanton Elementary School gym -  (12 and 13 years old only)Thursday Nov. 17th 3 pm.

Please donate items for our Annual Warm Your Heart Food Drive, Coat Drive and Toy Drive! These items will be donated to Operation  Happiness.


We are thankful that we live in a community with so many giving people! Drop off boxes are in your prime group or TSA.
