Today in Sports:
  • Varsity baseball team will be hosting Oxbow. Game time is 4:30.
  • April 19th is the last day to sign up for a spring sport.  Please register at mvuathletics.org if you would like to participate in Track and Field, Baseball, Softball and MS Golf.  If you would like to be a manager for a team, you also must sign up.  Make sure your physical is up to date, within the past 2 years and you are academically eligible (based on 2nd quarter grades).

The Library will be closed today from 1:30 until the end of the day.

Friday, April 20 is the National Day of Silence.  On this day, LGBTQ and allied youth across the country take a vow of silence to support students who have been pressured by bullying, harassment and prejudice to remain silent about who they really are.  To participate, please sign up this week with Mrs. Hamel in the library.

Education First Travel Group traveling to the British Isles in February 2019 is hosting two fundraisers to help defray costs.  High Mowing Seeds out of Wolcott, VT has put together a nice brochure of vegetable and flower seeds from which to choose (order online or through a traveler by April 27th; delivery May 8th).  Sweetie Pies is supplying us with hand-sized maple-glazed Sugar Cookies ($2.00/ orders due by May 2nd; delivery May 8th)).  See a traveler, Mrs Machia (A-37), or get order forms in the teachers' room or on front lobby table.

Alburg RV Resort is looking for a Store clerk.  Job duties include but are not limited to: collecting rent and electricity from seasonal campers, make reservations, check in/out over night guests. Check out store purchases. Weekends and 3 nights a week a must from May through October. Must be good with computers and good with people. Must be reliable. Spring 2018 Crossroads/AfterHours Flyers are out!  Get one from your TSA/Homeroom teachers and return to the Crossroads/AfterHours coordinators no later than April 18th to guarantee your spot! Contact abowen@fnwsu.org or hmoore@fnwsu.org.

Prom tickets will be on sale now through May 3rd in Mrs. Larose’s office during lunch periods only.  Cost is $30.00 each.  

Attention Seniors:  Just a reminder that if you receive any awards or scholarships, to please let me know as soon as possible so that we can recognize your achievements on Senior Awards Night.

If you’re bringing a guest to this year's Prom who is not an MVU student, you must fill out a “guest contract” and return it to Mrs. Larose no later than Tuesday, May 1st.  The contracts can be picked up in Mrs. Larose’s office.  Prom is being held at the Sunset Ballroom on Saturday, May 5th.  Tickets will go on sale soon. 

The Junior Class is having a fundraiser selling vouchers for hanging flower baskets from H & B Greenhouse.  Vouchers are $28.00 and will be sold until April 18th.  If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact a member of the junior class or see Mr. Fortin in room J18.

High School Juniors, Sophomores, & Parents: You are invited to attend a free Financial Aid & Managing College Costs VSAC presentation and information on Early College and Dual Enrollment on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 6:00 in the MVU library.

Musical Tickets for “Big Fish” are on sale now during most lunch periods in the Commons. Adult tickets are $10 and student tickets are $8. If you would like to purchase tickets prior to April 9th please see Ms. Hoffman in D5. Performance times are as follows: Thursday, April 19th @7:00, Friday April 20th @ 7:00 pm & Saturday, April 21st @ 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm.
