B DAY

- Model UN will meet Wednesday September 30th, 3:30-5:30 in D7 for a lively presidential debate. New members welcome! See or email Ms. Urban or your social studies teacher for details.

- SUNY Plattsburgh will be here on October 9th at 1:00 pm
Anyone interested in seeing any of these Colleges can sign up in the Guidance Office.
- The Swanton Police Department is sponsoring a "Prescription Drug Take Back Day" on Saturday 9/26/15 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Swanton Police Department. This is an opportunity to properly dispose of old prescriptions
- Reminder that there will be an assembly tomorrow in the Theater for all Driver Ed students during period 8/9 B. A national race car driver, Andy Pilgrim, will be talking about “distracted driving”. Students should check into their TSA for attendance and then report to the theater. Other student drivers who are driving to school and who have a study hall during this time can also attend with a pass from your teacher.
- There will be a short informational meeting right after school on Thursday, in E3 with Mrs. Hudak for all those interested in being a part of Math League this year. If you are unable to attend please see Mrs. Hudak.
- There will be open gym for all MVU girls interested in playing basketball this winter in grades 7-12 on Tuesdays from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. If you have any questions, see Mr Daly in room A39.
- Franklin County Healthcare Career Shadow Event – Champlain Valley AHEC October is Healthcare Careers Awareness Month and the Champlain Valley Area Health Education Center is sponsoring "A Day in the Life at NMC". This day-long shadow program is open to students in grades 10 - 12 and will take place Monday, October 26th. Applications must be received by 11:59 pm on Sunday, October 4th. - Last chance to sign up for travel to the sunny, warm beaches of Portugal and Spain. Several fundraisers are set up to help you make your dream come true. Last day to sign up is September 30th, help us fill up those last three spots. For more information, pick up the flyers on the table in the front lobby or in A37 from Mrs. Machia. Please support our Krispy Kremes Fundraiser, $10/dozen. Order by September 30th, pick up October 6th from travelers or Mrs. Machia.

Mrs. Hatin’s prime group sold the most coupon books during this fundraiser with a total of 66 books and 68.75% group participation.
Mrs. Ripley’s prime group came in 2nd place with sales with a total of 57 books and 68.75% group participation.
